Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected when you use softrevery.com (the “Website”), why it is collected, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to align with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible for your data
SoftRevery is an independent digital project. The Website is operated by the individual responsible for the project (the “Operator”), who determines the purposes and means of processing your personal data and therefore acts as the data controller under the GDPR. At the time of writing, the project is not incorporated as a separate registered legal entity; this page will be updated once that changes.
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact the Operator by email at hey@softrevery.com.
What data we collect and why
The Website collects personal data only when you provide it, or when it is technically necessary to run the site:
- Contact form — your name, email address, optional company name and the content of your message, used solely to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent and taking steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(a)–(b) GDPR).
- Job applications — your name, email address, optional phone number, optional portfolio or LinkedIn link, any message, and the résumé/CV file you attach, used only to assess your application. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to a possible engagement, and your consent.
- Analytics — pages viewed, clicks, device and browser information, approximate location derived from your IP address and, where those features are enabled, session recordings and heatmaps of how the Website is used, collected through a third-party analytics provider to understand and improve the site. Legal basis: your consent.
- Server and security logs — technical data such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, processed to keep the Website secure and operational. Legal basis: the Operator’s legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and similar technologies
The Website uses a small number of cookies and similar identifiers:
- A functional cookie (sr_locale) that remembers your language choice. It is necessary for the site to work the way you expect.
- Analytics cookies and identifiers set by a third-party analytics provider to measure and record how the Website is used. These are used on the basis of consent.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; some functions of the Website may then work differently. Where analytics relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting the Operator.
How long we keep your data
Messages sent through the contact form and job-application submissions are delivered to the Operator’s email inbox and kept only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or application, after which they are deleted. Résumé files are not stored on the Website’s servers — they are processed in memory, sent to the Operator’s mailbox, and then discarded. Analytics data is retained for no longer than necessary for the purpose described above.
Who we share data with
Your personal data is not sold. It is shared only with service providers that help operate the Website, acting as processors on the Operator’s behalf:
- an email/SMTP provider, to deliver messages and applications;
- a third-party analytics provider (data hosted in the European Union);
- the hosting provider that serves the Website.
Data may also be disclosed where required by law.
International data transfers
Where possible, data is processed within the European Union or European Economic Area. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, the Operator relies on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data and to request its rectification or erasure; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hey@softrevery.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
Children
The Website is intended for a professional, adult audience and is not directed to children. The Operator does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised; significant changes will be reflected here.
